My task got stuck or failed — what do I do?

Most stuck tasks recover with one of these steps.

First, try this

1. Send a nudge — a short message like "continue" or "try a different approach" often unblocks it.
2. Stop and re-run — stop the task from the composer, then re-send it. Esan starts a clean workspace.
3. Reload the page — if the view looks frozen but the task is still running, a hard reload (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+R) re-syncs the live stream.

If it keeps failing

• Break the job down — a smaller, clearer ask succeeds where a huge one stalls.
• Check your connectors — if the task needs an app (Gmail, GitHub…), make sure it's still connected under Settings → Connectors.
• Check your usage — if you have reached your plan's allowance, Esan refuses the task before it starts rather than stopping halfway, and says so. See Plans and usage explained.
