Introduction
Getting started
What Esan is for
Esan takes on multi-step work end to end. Instead of giving you instructions to follow, it does the steps itself — searching the web, reading the documents you attach, running calculations, building files — and returns the finished result with its sources.
A good first task is anything you'd normally hand to a capable assistant: "Research the top three project-management tools for a 5-person studio and recommend one," or "Turn this spreadsheet into a one-page summary with a chart."
Your first task
- Sign in. Use your email — no password to remember.
- Describe the outcome in the box on the home screen. Plain language works best. Say what you want, not how to do it.
- Attach anything relevant (files, images, links) with the + button. Esan reads them as part of the task.
- Send. Esan shows its progress as it works, then delivers the result. Files and reports are downloadable.
Tips for a great first result
- Describe the goal, not the steps. "Compare these three vendors on price and support" beats a list of micro-instructions.
- Give context once. Mention the audience, the format you want, and any constraints ("keep it under one page", "in Spanish").
- Attach the source material. If the answer lives in a file or a link, include it — Esan will use it directly.
- You can change your mind mid-task. See Delegating tasks for steering and stopping.
Where things live
