Delete your account
You can delete your account and its data at any time.
Cancel your subscription first
If you are on a paid plan, deletion is blocked until the plan has ended. Go to Settings → Billing and choose Cancel. A plan set to end at the close of the billing period still counts until that date.
This is not about stopping charges — deletion would end the subscription anyway. It is about what deletion takes with it: the customer record, the invoices, and the 14-day right to withdraw. Delete on day three of a subscription and the money is gone with nothing left to refund it against. Cancelling first is one extra click, and it is the click where we can still offer you that refund. How
- Go to Settings → Account.
- On the Delete account row, press Delete. If the row shows Go to Billing instead, you still have a live subscription — see above.
- A dialog explains what happens. Type the email of your account to confirm.
- Press Delete account. Esan may first ask you to confirm it's you.
What happens
- Your account closes at once: you are signed out everywhere, your scheduled tasks stop, your shared links and pages go offline, and your Esan Mail address stops taking mail.
- For 30 days you can change your mind. Sign in and choose Restore account: everything comes back as it was. On the same screen, Delete now deletes it at once instead.
- After 30 days your account is deleted for good — chats, files, memories, assistants and connected apps — and we cannot recover it. The copies in our backups expire about a month after that.
- As Spanish law requires, we keep a minimal record locked away for three years: who the account was, the consents you gave and your request to delete it. Only a court or the data protection authority can ask for it, and then it is destroyed.
- Your billing history goes with it, which is why any refund you are owed has to be settled before, not after.
