Skills

A skill is a saved playbook for a recurring task. Once you have a skill, you can run it any time and Esan follows the same approach — consistent results without re-explaining yourself.

Using a skill

Start a message with / to see your available skills, pick one, and add the specifics. Esan applies the skill's playbook to your request.

Some skills run automatically when they fit the task, so the right approach kicks in without you naming it.

The skill library

Browse and install ready-made skills from Settings → Skills, such as building a polished presentation deck. Installed skills are available to you across chats; you can enable or remove them anytime.

Creating your own

You can create a skill from a workflow you do often — give it a name and describe the steps and standards you want followed. From then on, running the skill reproduces that approach. Edit or delete your skills whenever your process changes.

Skills + specialists

You can choose which skills each specialist is allowed to use, so a specialist only runs the playbooks that suit its role.

Tips

  • Capture how you like a task done (format, tone, checks) in the skill so you never re-explain it.
  • Keep skills single-purpose — one job each — so they stay easy to reuse and combine.
