Scheduled & always-on tasks

Some work shouldn't wait for you to be at the keyboard. Esan can run tasks on a schedule and keep longer jobs moving in the background, then tell you when there's something to see.

Scheduled tasks

Set a task to run on a recurring basis — a morning research digest, a weekly summary, a daily check. Esan runs it on time and leaves the result waiting for you.

Find your scheduled work under Scheduled in the app.

Background work

For a long job, you don't have to watch it the whole time. Esan keeps working and surfaces the result when it's ready. If you've turned on notifications, you'll get a heads-up when a task finishes — even if Esan isn't open.

Notifications

Turn on notifications in Settings → General to be told when a task completes or needs your input. You control them, and can turn them off anytime.

Staying in control

• Scheduled and background tasks follow the same confirmation rules as everything else — anything with real-world effects can be set to check with you first.
• You can review, pause, or remove scheduled tasks whenever you like.
